Floor Leveling
– If your META QUEST headset has updated, it’s necessary to redo the floor level setup. However, there’s no need to change anything in your SlimeVR software — it no longer recognizes the previously set floor level, so you’ll need to recalibrate it directly on your headset.

Drift Removal

Please make sure to read the full version of our manual, where we explain in detail all the possible issues you might encounter and their solutions. The images only show the most common problems. I’m available on our Official Discord if you still need help or want to talk about any issues.
The most common ones are:
– Tracking issues due to incorrect floor level or body measurements
– Wi-Fi problems because the router is too far away, in a different room, or outside your room. This results in poor reception for your trackers, causing latency or connection issues. It’s one of the main reasons trackers fail to connect. Also, keep in mind that trackers only work with 2.4GHz Wi-Fi — they are not compatible with 5GHz networks.
(We recommend adding the Opal Router Extender to solve this issue.)
– Drift on Classic Mini models «discontinuad model», which is fixed by doing the 6-angle calibration, explained in our YouTube video.

Problems with the Wi-Fi Explained
The most common issue with trackers is not being able to connect to Wi-Fi, or experiencing problems like choppy or glitchy tracking. This usually happens because the Wi-Fi is coming from another room or the router is too far from your setup. In this case, you’ll need a router or extender to fix your Wi-Fi issue.
Solution:
If you’re experiencing lag with your WiFi trackers or they don’t connect to your network, it could be due to your ISP (“Internet Service Provider”) router not supporting SlimeVR trackers properly. Replacing the ISP router with a dedicated router in your room to manage the trackers can solve all these issues. Here’s how it works:
-
2.4 GHz WiFi: Used only for your trackers to improve stability.
-
5 GHz WiFi: Used for your headset and other devices to avoid interference with the trackers, and for your PC or laptop if you can’t use Ethernet.
No Ethernet Cable to Connect to the Opal Router Extender?
If there’s no Ethernet cable available to plug into the WAN port, you can use the Repeater Mode inside the Opal router’s settings page and connect it to your main router via Wi-Fi. This is explained in the YouTube video.
It will extend your existing network, greatly improve your tracker connection quality, and also boost your headset and PC download/upload speeds as a bonus — thanks to the quality of the router/extender. It’s a great investment, not just for your trackers, but for your personal use too. Superb!

If you’re interested in getting an extender, I recommend:
🛒 GL.iNet GL-SFT1200 (Opal) WiFi Extender – Amazon
This setup should reduce lag, improve stability, and fix most SlimeVR connection issues — I really recommend it!
